سیاستمدار سال اسکاتلند
جایزه «سیاستمدار سال اسکاتلند» (Scottish Politician of the Year) یک جایزه سالانه است که از سال ۱۹۹۹ توسط روزنامه The Herald بنیانگذاری شده است. این مراسم معمولاً در هتل Prestonfield House در ادینبرو برگزار میشود و به چهرههای برجسته عرصه سیاست اسکاتلند ارج مینهد.
اگرچه یک بار مراسم در موزه سلطنتی (Royal Museum) برگزار شده، اما خانه اصلی این رویداد، هتل Prestonfield House به شمار میرود. یکی از اتفاقات قابل توجه در مراسم سال ۲۰۰۴، به آتش کشیدن پرده توسط مایک واتسون، عضو سابق مجلس عوام (MSP) و لرد کارآموز (life peer) بود که متعاقباً به جرم آتشافروزی عمدی محکوم شد.
لازم به ذکر است که همه جوایز فرعی هر سال اهدا نمیشوند.
